David George Lawley, age 60, died suddenly Sept. 15, 2005 at home in Margaree, Nova Scotia. Born in Vanport, Oregon, Feb. 9, 1945, he was the cherished son of Anne Phelan and the late June Lawley.

David will be forever loved by his children Jonathan and Anna, their mother Elaine Wallace; his children Kharissma and Ray; his beloved companion Margo Chisholm and her children Jillian and Tyler; grandchildren Ray, James, Adrien, James and Sarah; brothers Donald, Thomas and Jerry; half-sisters Mary Ann, Donna and Monica; step-sisters Vera Joe and Linda and an extended family. He is pre-deceased by half-sister Patty Sue.

David was an avid naturalist and author who loved the outdoors, having worked at Cape Breton Highlands National Park for almost 20 years.

There will be no visitation. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 11am at St John Anglican Church, Ingonish, Rev. Elliott Siteman officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
